Admission Procedure
Intake

The intake is 50 (1 Unit) students. 38 Students are Admit by C.E.T. cell on merit basis and 12 Students are admit by the management. Both arts and Science Students are admitted more or less on equal proportion.

ALLOCATION OF SEATS

  • College shall admit all the candidates allotted by the Government of Karnataka through Centralized Admission Cell (CET) Bangalore
  • For admit the management seats the college shall select the candidates eligibility criteria as envisaged in regulation.
  • The college shall admit the selected candidates, both under Government quota and management quota, within the last date fixed for admission by the government and Kuvempu University.
  • The total intake of B.Ed., colleges shall be 50(1 Unit) or as fixed by Government of Karnataka from time to time.
  • Management seats: The respective institutions shall admit the eligible candidates for admissions in respect of Management seats and fill up such seats in accordance with the eligibility criteria and merit as per regulations. The list of admitted candidates shall be got approved by the University.
  • The total number of admission of Candidates in the colleges from outside Karnataka State should not exceed more than twenty percent of the total prescribed intake under any circumstance.

Reservation

The reservations are allowed as per Govt. orders issued from time to time.

OTHER RESERVATIONS
OTHER RESERVATIONS :

Kannada Med. Reservation 5% For those who have studied in Kannada Medium from 1st std to 10th std. Female Reservation 30% If sufficient number of women candidates are not available, such seats shall be filled by men candidates. Physically Handicapped 3% Percentage of disability shall not be less than 40% and shall not exceed 75% ( 1% of seats for Visually Impaired, 1% of seats for Hearing Impaired & 1% of seats for Orthopedically Handicapped will be reserved.)

In each institution a maximum of 3% of Govt. Quota Seats will be reserved. Admission to B.Ed course is made keeping in view Section 32 (Persons with disabilities)(equal opportunities) (protection of right and full participation) of act 1995 - Govt. Notification No. DPAR/52/SRR/99/ dated 29-11-2002. Physically Handicapped candidates at the time of admission have to produce Medical certificate (in the format given at Annexure) obtained from District Medical Board compulsorily with all other original certificates. In this medical certificate percentage of disability should be mentioned. Only Physically handicapped candidates producing medical certificate obtained from District Medical Board will be considered under PH Reservation. PH Candidates who fail to produce Medical Certificate obtained from District Medical Board will not be considered under PH Reservation. Candidates with hearing defect have to undergo Audiogram Test on their own responsibility at “National Institute of Mental Health and Neurological Sciences (NIMHANS) Hospital, Hosur Road, Bangalore or at Sanjaygandhi Accident and Research Institute Hospital, Jayanagar East, Byrasandra, Bangalore and obtain the report, produce the same before the District Medical Board. The medical certificate issued by the District Medical Board (in the format given at Annexure) has to be produced with all other original certificates during admission. Candidates whose disability is exceeding 75% are not eligible for B.Ed Course. Candidates whose percentage of disability is less than 40% and became ineligible by the medical board will be considered under general selection as per merit and roster.
